As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowCarmel-based software company Tendly LLC, which began doing business under the name MomentPath in November, plans to expand operations and hire 50 employees over the four years, it announced Tuesday.
The 4-year-old company, which offers a software platform for child care and senior care providers, said it expects to spend $800,000 to boost operations. Part of the plan is to move into a 20,000-square-foot office with new technology in the next six months.
The company is currently headquartered in 13,000 square feet at 23 E. Main St. in Carmel, where it has seven employees.
MomentPath said it has begun hiring software developers, sales staff, customer-care specialists and other administrative personnel.
The company announced in May that it had raised $1 million in seed funding from a bevy of local entrepreneurs and tech investors.
The funding round included investments from Mike Simmons, founder of T2 Systems; Scott McCorkle, former CEO of Salesforce Marketing Cloud; Eric Tobias, partner in High Alpha; Michael Browning, founder and chairman of Browning Investments; and Indianapolis-based Elevate Ventures.
Elevate pitched in $150,000 from the state’s 21st Century Research and Technology Fund.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered MomentPath up to $700,000 in conditional tax credits based on the job-creation plans. The incentives hinge on the company’s ability to meet hiring goals.
The company said it changed its name to better align itself with its core mission of helping directors, teachers and parents tackle the challenges of managing preschools and child care centers. Its customizable software platform offers billing, scheduling, curriculum planning, sign-in and sign-out services, daily reports, and standards tracking.
