The joint venture developing AllPoints Midwest industrial park said today it is starting construction on its first building—a warehouse.

Duke Realty Corp. and Browning Investments Inc. said construction on the speculative 650,000-square-foot building will begin in February and finish in October, and could coincide with the opening of the Ronald Reagan Parkway. AllPoints adjoins the four-lane, limited access highway that links Interstate 70 and eventually Interstate 65 in Boone County.

Locally based Browning planned the 920-acre park with a potential for more than 12.5 million square feet of industrial space under the name CentraLogistics Industrial Park.

In May, Browning announced a joint venture with locally based Duke to market it as AllPoints Midwest. The venture also jointly markets AllPoints at Anson, the 616-acre, 7.4 million-square-foot industrial park Duke is developing in Whitestown.

Plainfield annexed AllPoints Midwest, and Avon followed suit, with both towns wanting the potential tax revenue from such a large development. A lawsuit filed by Avon to stop Plainfield’s annexation was dismissed. Avon lost an appeal.

Meanwhile, Browning and Duke filed a remonstrance against Avon’s annexation.
