Developers are launching speculative building projects in the Fort Wayne area because industrial space is becoming scarce, according to The Journal Gazette.
Citing an annual report by The Zachary Co., the newspaper said the vacancy rate fell to 8 percent from 12 percent in 2005. Buildings with at least 60,000 square feet are in particularly short supply.
