Indianapolis-based Celadon Group Inc. has bought the truckload business as well as some tractors and trailers from cross-town trucking firm Air Road Express Inc. for an undisclosed price.
Excluding fuel surcharges, the Air Road Express truckload operation logged about $26 million in revenue last year. Celadon said it made the purchase to broaden its customer base.
