At the casting plant, 79 percent voted against the four-year pact. At a transmission plant, 72 percent voted No. All told, 2,855 opposed against the contract at the plants, while only 1,053 supported it.
A tally of votes cast so far means the Kokomo results have tipped the overall vote slightly against the contract, the news service said. A majority of the 45,000 workers represented by the United Auto Workers union must approve the deal.
Chrysler, which is now majority-owned by Cerberus Capital Management, has not guaranteed that all of its plants will remain open after the four years expire.
The UAW recently ratified a contract that offers greater job security.
