Subscribe NowAutoline Industries Inc., an Indian parts supplier to car, recreational vehicle and tractor manufacturers, has acquired the North American jack and tool-kit business of Dura Automotive Systems Inc. of Rochester Hills, Mich.
The sole location where the Dura unit makes the jacks and tools is in the northeastern Indiana town of Butler. The 140 employees at the site generate $25 million in revenue a year, according to Dura. Autoline did not immediately say whether it will make any changes to the Butler operation.
Customers include General Motors, Nissan, Ford and Honda.
In October last year, Dura sought Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection while it reorganized, and anticipates exiting Chapter 11 this year. The jack and tool kit unit was put on the market as part of the restructuring.
