maybe it seems leftist because the right wing folks, like the MAGAts, don’t care when our constitutional rights are being trampled. The head MAGAt has declared that he is contemplating going after the broadcast license of any television station that engages in what he will define as excessive criticism of him. That is an affront to the FIrst Amendment (the MAGAts may recall the First Amendment; its the one they rely upon in keeping kids out of school, and its the one just before the Second Amendment) and should be an affront to every American. But strangely, it seems to have not even raise an eyebrow among the MAGAts and their fellow travelers.

Tim, the First Amendment does protect what all commenters here say, even your divisive and bigoted name calling, which is actually so unnecessary.
You mean MAGAts? Isn’t that what they call themselves? Make America Great Again team? That’s a name I saw they called themselves during the first Trump go-around. Never saw it walked back…it’s only when I use it that it seems to bother anyone, especially the MAGAts who didn’t see the irony when the full name was coined in 2015.
I think it is necessary, and if its divisive (I do not accept bigoted…but we’ll discuss that another day) to bring sharp definition to how they are infesting and destroying the foundations of this country. They’re not making it great…they’re engaging in the agenda of the Nativists from early American history, the folks who would have stopped America from becoming a great country.
Now, as to protections of the First Amendment, Kevin P. It should extend to not only what I and others say here, but what Jimmy Kimmel and Steven Colbert and Jimmy Fallon say? But apparently not, and I’m curious why you’re not protesting what Trump is threatening.
