Not sure which is sadder; the filing of trivial lawsuits that waste time/money or earning a law degree to spend your time prosecuting such frivolity. Even if these attorneys spent their time washing out bedpans, they would be contributing SOMETHING to the betterment of society.

ACLU costs you nothing…and one day, your rights mights be disrupted. You dont have to like this, but the effort is ultimately in your hest interest…if not today and not specific to this case, it might be someday when you believe you ir your family is being treated unfairly or unreasonably.

What is truly sad is a public university wasting taxpayer dollars to enact illegal policies that violate the Constitution and make it subject to lawsuits that it will *lose*, resulting in more taxpayer dollars being spent to defend illegal laws and then pay out monetary damages.
And, it is also quite sad when clueless people online desperately (and childishly) try to defend illegal actions by public institutions.
The waste of money I’m referring to is the dollars Ball State has to waste on this. As far as the ACLU’s value to society, I have been watching their work for decades and they are a clearly a net detriment to all of us.
Then, Ball State, as a taxpayer supported public institution shouldn’t enact official policies that violate the Constitution. Now, the taxpayers will get hit twice, once paying for legal costs to defend the illegal policies, and then again paying out legal settlements or judgments. But, it seems Ball State is fine with wasting money so long as the taxpayers keep supplying it.

The ACLU is not the free speech advocates that they used to be. They have become a legal arm for the Left and the Dems.
That said, I am a firm supporter of free speech. Even speech that I find offensive.
