    1. the 70-80mm would include payroll taxes, 401k match, health ins, other benefits, training, expense reimbursements, etc. i am sure the avg wage of those impacted is no where near your 229k

The cuts are likely happening because their search engine for contractors is pay to play and has become far less trusted by users who are increasingly turning to ChatGPT, Nextdoor, and their ilk for finding contractor recommendations. So while AI (ChatGPT and others) is indirectly responsible, it is only because Angi became pay to play years ago which greatly reduced its quality and value for both users and contractors. And if you look at its stock price over the last decade, it shows.

    1. Well stated and agree 100%. I’m old enough to remember when it was a once useful service but I’d trust Google Reviews over Angi these days.
