  1. “Quite frankly, it just doesn’t keep pace with the current medical cost and utilization trends, and that does create real pressure on benefits, stability and affordability for seniors,” Elevance CEO Gail Boudreaux said.

Cough, cough, that’s bullsh** Ms Boudreaux.

In its fourth-quarter report, Elevance said it had earnings of $547 million and profit of $2.47 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $3.33 per share. – THATS A 74% PROFIT MARGIN!

Cry me a river. Its time for insurers and hospitals to stop taking advantage of their customers. Hospitals building these elaborate campuses ($4T IUH?) and then the insurers barely reimbursing any of those costs, or outright denying them. Hospitals think they have unlimited money to spend at the patient’s expense.

  2. It’s just very irritating that insurance companies are raking in money hand over fist like there is no tomorrow while its customers are suffering from increasingly outrageous medical bills. I don’t see how this gets fixed until insurance companies become non-profit and they actually work with the medical providers to start cutting costs.

At the same time, medical providers need to do an audit regarding waste and abuse and non-payment by illegals to get these costs in hand. As well as stop building taj mahals. No one needs their hospital to look like a 5-star hotel.
