I’m not sure how most anesthesiologist practices survive. I don’t know the last time my insurance paid their bill after a surgery.
I am locked into buying insurance from one or two providers because if I switch, I have to change all of my doctors. If doctors were like car mechanics then I would say let free markets do their job, but they’re not.
I will be on Medicare next year and I can’t wait. But any fool that buy’s into a Medicare Advantage plan is just buying into the same problems that the private health care marketplace creates. 12% overhead vs, 2% and no portability.
