Hope she gets plenty. It’s a straightforward First Amendment case. Can’t help that a ton of people got upset.
And before you get a bunch of replies from folks who don’t understand the first amendment, this was a PUBLIC university firing a STATE employee for her speech. Blatantly unconstitutional.

Are they allowed to keep the terms of this resolution secret? It certainly is in the public interest to know how it was resolved.
Her comments don’t seem radical or inflammatory to me. They seem very reasonable and even-handed. Hard to believe the university got a lot of backlash over those comments.
And, what is “private” facebook post anyway? Almost seems oxymoronic.
Ultimately, unless a private entity like the BSU Foundation writes that check, you can file a FoIA request and get a copy or the accompanying written explanation on the check request. Because BSU is a public entity. They won’t make it easy, and they’ll drag their feet, but that have to provide it after the check is written. Do it here:
