Democrats know Republican will not negotiate on the issue of ACA premium subsidies, and if they were to sign off on the CR, they would not make any progress on the issue. Many of the Republican Senators and Representatives who have voted to not maintain those subsidies are acting in defiance of the wishes of their constituents, but as Representative Massie has learned, acting in support of your voters against the wishes of the MAGAt President will cause you to be ostracized and primaried.
