People are still working to dry out, clean up, and re-enter their homes and businesses and right on cue – the parrots of the comment section demanding money from the suburbs to and another band aid to inept Marion County officials and the Mayor Boss Hogsett. And yes I live in Marion County – we don’t have a budget problem. We have a career politician and an accountability problem. DPW are a joke.

The mayor of Indianapolis did not cause the flooding and it is shameful to use this tragedy as an excuse for sophomoric name-calling and baseless complaints. One should not forget that measures that would have better minimized flooding were rejected my some areas that were affected. Bear in mind that a derecho and the intensity of rainfall was not normal. The problems are clear, solutions not sarcasm are needed.
A select few citizens of rocky ripple spent the better part of a decade fighting the flood fighting solutions that were implemented.
If those solutions had not been implemented the entire town of Rocky Ripple would be gone today along with 1,000+ people would have lost their homes.
I doubt we will hear any apologies from the past detractors
