I am sure they will return to their days of actual journalism and not what they currently do. Clickbait USA Today articles. A reporter creeping out the most popular female athlete. Reporting news that was reported by actual local news outlets days or weeks in advance. Or lastly, the cool stories about old bean farmers that made a layup one time in a high school basketball game. The Star is a shell of itself and terrible overall.
Funny but accurate. We can only hope of a return, or at least a reinvention, but Gannett is too big and hard to trust.
I recall sitting with Ryan Martin in the Neidhammer in early Apr. ’19 explaining the decades-old crime gang run by IMPD relatives. Cops + drugs + whores. 2 months later I sent a reminder about journalism. Ryan: “I’ve been busy.” Which frustrated me. So Martin simply quashed it & covered it up. Thee worst scandal – ongoing btw – in Naptown in many many decades, covered up by Ryan Martin. He deserves and award for that too, huh.
