Clearly a decision by the recently fired Kristi Noem, the suspension of the Global Re-Entry program did not make the U.S. Customs and Border Protection task easier. Because those of us who paid to use the program were finger-printed and vetted with background checks (at our expense), more than 14 million travelers did not need to be manually screened when re-entering the country. To have Customs and Broader Protection personnel re-checked those 14 million plus travelers was needlessly redundant.
