    1. Absolutely. There is no longer a bottom to how low they will go. If anything, both the state and federal districts should be redrawn to make all of them competitive. Then we might get a truly representative legislature instead of our current super majority.

  1. I am shocked that the entire Indiana GOP congressional delegation has united behind this pure political scheme to retain their party’s majority. Could it be that they are more interested in their own hold on power, fame, and fortune while doing nothing to substantially help their constituents have better lives?

    Yeah, I’m being sarcastic here. The MAGA wing of the party has that effect on me.

    1. What happened to Jim Lucas becoming the voice of reason for Republicans in the IN House? We all knew that wasn’t going to last.

    2. The problem isn’t that they are going to do it. It’s that many of them just a few days ago said they weren’t going to do it.

      I look forward to Prescott coming up with some convoluted nonsense to justify why he’d go back in the following he said just days ago:

      “This is Trump territory, and I’m a big supporter of President Trump myself. But I just think this is too far and we need to do the right thing here in the state. … I think it’s a bad precedent to set.”

  2. This is outright cheating and the fact that Todd Huston hasn’t flatly said “no” is very telling of his character. What a bunch of spineless turds.

  3. There is no common sense in politics . The plurality of common sense voters have no where to go in this rigged MAGA CULT dear leader adoring un-American system .

The 20-30% fringes on each side control the parties’ primaries and conventions, and the 40-50% of us in the middle are stuck choosing from whatever wackos and unqualified party hacks they nominate. But only rarely do the D’s manage to put up a solid middle-of-the-road choice when the R’s overreach (see Donnelly vs. Mourdock, 2012). See also Indiana AG and SoS.

  4. If the legislature goes through with this disgraceful plan, they should repeal anti-bullying laws at the same time. Such cowardice in the face of illicit force would be the supreme example to all kids trying to do the right thing: “Don’t even try to do the right thing kids; just do what the bully-led mob wants.”

  5. Wonder how well the state coffers will fair when the 1million+ democrats all leave the state. So many expletives aimed at the GOP right now. Just grrrrr.

    1. Not to mention the actual cost to taxpayers to hold a special session then all the reworking of maps, printing blah blah blah. Only every 10 is enough. Aren’t we trying to fill in billion dollar gap in FSSA and also going to shoulder more cost that the feds have shifted elsewhere. We don’t need to be doing this

  6. The Indiana GOP has no concern for jobs or state coffers. Their goal is to make Indiana an uneducated, underemployed, no real future wasteland. Because if there was real education, they wouldn’t be able to hold office. Their only hope to retain office is redistricting. And the Russian front person, Victoria Spartz, is about the worst.

    Why worry about voters choosing you, when you can choose your voters?
