Artist Jason Myers describes the Gavin project monumental sculpture series as an invitation for individuals to pause, reflect, and connect. However, this intention must be weighed against the reality of its proposed setting—a busy and complex intersection. Encouraging passersby to engage deeply with the artwork in such an environment raises safety concerns, as art structure distracts individuals and increase the risk of accidents or harm.
A more appropriate site should be identified, where the artwork can be safely enjoyed, allowing viewers to pause, reflect, and connect as intended.
