    1. Competing more directly with Kincaid’s for the BR/MK/BT trade may or may not be a wise move. They are certainly going where the money is.

    2. The Nora location was a pita to access. This is accessible from both North and South directions and in a reinvigorated strip center. I will patronize and wish them well.

    3. No argument on either account. That proximity is going to be interesting. I’m a Kincaids guy admittedly, but I see MK gravitating towards established habits more than I see BR proper modifying its shopping habits. Just my two cents.

  1. Broad Ripple has the best high rent demographic in Marion County. Sandwiched between Meridian Kessler, Sunset Lane, Meridian Hills, Williams Creek and the SoBro yuppies, multiple butcher shops should be able to thrive. Kincaid’s has been pissing excellence for 100 years. That’s my spot, but I’m pulling for all Ripple business. 3 new restaurants and a repurpose of old Fernando’s I to a tequiliaria/tapas restaurant and Ripple is heating up.

    1. Yet you’re really talking convenience vs opportunity, in this economy nonetheless. On top of a crippling inability of broad ripples ability to define itself. Your proclamation that multiple butcher shops can thrive amongst themselves is counter intuitive to how that actually plays out. We’ll see, but this has the makings of a true turf war that I don’t see Kincaids losing.
