  1. Truly excellent article that should be read by every parent, educator, citizen in fact by all. We sometimes act like we are all living in a vacuum yet we, the United Staes and our experiment as a Republic have many enemies throughout the world. In order to handle these, we must act as a coherent society with the skills to work together on our differences.

  2. Extraordinarily well written piece by a consummate gentleman who has embodied civility and respect for others in all that he has done in his career. Thank you for this essay – which is needed now more than ever.

  3. Tying Pelosi to a discussion on political violence is a misguided attempt to equivocate it with shooting a president or killing Charlie. In fact, it had nothing to do with politics. His attacker was a deranged mental patient the State of California failed to deal with. You can’t solve a problem without first identifying the facts. The game of attempting to make all look the same doesn’t work.
