Two fires that started about the same time have east-side Indianapolis neighbors suspicious of local vandals. Indianapolis
firefighters were called to a fire in a vacant house in the 200 block of Good Avenue at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday. While responding,
fire crews encountered another blaze a couple of blocks away at a vacant apartment building at Good and Beechwood avenues.
Both fires were put out with no injuries reported. Neighbors told emergency responders that somebody had smashed windows in
seven or eight cars in the same area the prior morning.
