The Indianapolis 500 will keep the same schedule in 2011 it had this year with one addition—a classic car show on opening weekend.
Speedway CEO Jeff Belskus says there will be one week of practice and two qualifying days, though has not finalized a start time for the May 29 race.
On Thursday, Speedway officials announced a car show would kick off the events for the 100th anniversary of the first race. It is scheduled for May 13 and 14 and will feature cars from 1911 to 1961, honoring the first half-century of auto racing on the historic 2.5-mile oval.
Practice will begin May 14 with qualifying set for May 21 and 22.
