OneJet, based in Boston, announced Wednesday that it will provide weekday nonstop flights from Indianapolis to Milwaukee, starting April 6. There currently is no non-stop service between the two destinations.
The company will partner with Pentastar Aviation, which will fly the route with eight-seat Hawker 400 jets.
OneJet spokesman Jon Austin said the timing of the flights will depend on the demands of travelers, who can book through corporate travel companies, as well as Expedia and Travelocity.
"Think of it as a very personalized airline,” Austin said.
OneJet is owned by a group of investors whose identities are not disclosed, Austin said. The company, which has been years in the making, has never before operated a commercial flight, he said.
OneJet plans to announce additional destinations from Indianapolis starting April 23.
