Megan Earnest, manager of Hamilton Town Center, confirmed the closure to IBJ on Tuesday.
Mo’s, 13193 Levinson Lane, Suite 100, opened its first and only Indiana location in a 7,000-square-foot space at the mall during summer 2008.
Early last month, the restaurant abruptly closed, and a sign taped to the door told guests the restaurant was closed “for refreshing” and would reopen this month.
The restaurant’s website said the location was closed for renovations. Now, the Noblesville location is no longer listed on the company’s website.
Mo’s Irish Pub still operates six restaurants in Wisconsin and Texas, including a newly opened location in College Station, Texas.
Mo’s Irish Pubs are owned by John Vassallo, who also owns Mo’s … A Place for Steaks, which had an Indianapolis location until late last year.
Last fall, Vassallo closed his Mo’s … A Place for Steaks downtown Indianapolis location, citing intense competition among steakhouses in the area.
He reopened the restaurant at 15 E. Maryland St. earlier this year as Nook, a Paleo-influenced diner.
Vassallo could not be reached for comment.
Earnest told IBJ it was too early to say whether other restaurants are interested in the Noblesville Mo’s space but said it’s “a great location in the mall so we don’t anticipate it being vacant for too long.”
