  1. I heard Pulte forces their homeowners in these new subdivisions to only have one choice for their Internet and phone provider. That’s AT&T. How much does that add to the HOA fees?

    1. Pretty sure wired phones are a thing of the past. I don’t know anyone who still has a landline…and I’m a senior citizen.

Plus, pretty much all the northern suburbs have 5G, so wired internet is not exactly an essential any more. Sure, if you’re Zooming or on Teams calls all day, you need a wire or fiber…but then, you’re probably working at a well-paid job instead of pinching your Social Security pennies.

It’s probably a good thing in a highly-controlled community (I mean, they don’t allow kids to stay overnight more than a maximum number of nights) to have only one set of wires in the lawn. Less for the sprinkler contractor to mess up.
