  1. For being the party of “less government”, the Indiana Legislature sure loves to stick their noses into everyone’s business. Like the changes for the local building requirements, let’s follow the money and see who is paying for this little piece of change. Any guesses, VRBO, AirBNB or some other big money. Like I say, we have the best representatives money can buy.

  2. Too much control, read interference, from non-local legislators. The GOP policy has always been local control — they love to love it until they do not. And they never love it for Indianapolis. A micro-managing, cult-like following of lackeys in the statehouse are a detriment. Local control should be local control to best meet needs, sustain properties, support policies, and ensure safety. Whereas the state can set priorities and guidelines, the intrusive, vindictive, non-democratic Statehouse micromanagement of far too many issues is repressive, non-productive, and enabled without understanding or even a desire to do so.

    1. Of course this is happening from the top down with Trump wanting to take control of the upcoming elections, send in the National Guard and ensure he wins no matter what. You would thin he is taking lessons from his buddy Putin or something.

  3. Finally, the wealthy Republican controlled Indy suburbs are feeling the pain of the faux local control crowd in the General Assembly that Indianapolis experiences nearly every session.

  4. Would the proposed State law prohibit HOAs from having a rental caps in condo buildings? Example, 40 units in a building with a 20% rental cap, means only 8 units could be rentals at any one time.

    1. It would likely depend on the source of the influence, i.e. where the money is coming from. So if the investor focus is free standing versus condo then likely no. However if the money wants a blank slate, then all obsticles may be removed.
