  1. Report! Americans IQ’s would go up 50 points if “journalists” would get real jobs
This is mindless drivel I would expect to see in a Gannett product, but not something claiming to be a business journal

  2. I got a change in terms notice from CITI Bank raising the interest rate on a Goodyear tire store credit card to 34.24 % . I called them and CANCELLED it to close the account . CITI Bank also invests in those PAYday cash loan stores that massively abuse borrowers . Usury laws should be reenacted to put an end to the abusive Bankers practices . Instead TRUMP killed the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau .

    1. Capping credit card rates will cause banks to severely limit who can get a credit card. That.is not necessarily a bad thing.

  3. I would rather see a cap on credit card service fees. In the US, merchants pay fees that are 9 times higher than in the EU. It is like secret 2% tax on the whole consumer economy. It’s baked into the price of everything consumers buy. Even the guy that pays cash is stuck with the bill. The people that benefit are rich people vacationing with “free” hotels and airfare.

As a consumer, if you don’t like the interest rates, the obvious solution is to pay with cash, but you still can’t doge the baked into price hikes merchants use to cover the service fees.for those that do charge.
