Trucking and auto fleet insurer Baldwin & Lyons Inc. plans to move its headquarters from downtown Indianapolis to Carmel by the end of the year and hopes to add 133 jobs over the next five years, the company announced Monday afternoon.
LabDoor, which soon will launch an iPhone app that assigns A-F grades to over-the-counter vitamins and medicines, moved last month from Indianapolis to San Francisco, where it received $100,000 in startup financing.
The Arts Council of Indianapolis soon will move its office from Monument Circle to a smaller space on Pennsylvania
Street with an adjacent gallery. The move is symbolic of the council’s ongoing reinvention, as well as the financial
reality driving that effort.
