Debt payments will be due before all the buildings are completed. But Carmel officials say the delays shouldn’t cost taxpayers because of safeguards the city and the developer put in in place years ago.
Crew Carwash and the city of Fishers announced Friday morning that the company will build a corporate headquarters and a carwash not far from the controversial location where Crew previously had wanted to build a carwash. Crew plans to spend at least $10 million on the project.
A major component of the public-private project is a health clinic operated by Community Health, which would occupy about one-third of the structure. The rest would be used for community activities, classes and other events.
