    1. I just assumed Trump could’ve pressured the Republican majorities to pass tariffs—but…it’d be a slog, one at a time, and it’d take a long while. No two tariffs are similar. It’s clear that tariffs are a Congressional prerogative.

  1. Because they would not pass…even if the House Republicans could pass a bill for the tariffs, it would never pass the Senate. People who understand what is happening here will not risk their political careers on this mess…

  2. What we all know, and what the Supremes will do, are very different. They proclaim themselves to be textualists, and grounded in the thinking of the Founding Fathers. But that position is only for when it produces the MAGAt result they want. If the academics get in the way, it’s just about the results. If this was a liberal court, they would be called activist judges. But they are conservatives, and we all know conservatives would never ignore or bend the law to reach a desired conclusion…
