So, Democrats are still pushing to get ICE to operate like all of the rest of the law enforcement in the US, and that is to operate within constitutional limits, and THAT is a sticking point with Republicans? Something is very broken in the Republican party if there is something wrong with those simply following the constitution.
All of the this is performative for the Republicans, because they’ve deployed ICE to airports and all they do is stand around taking up space. “Oh my, we did our best to fix the problem and it isn’t helping, let’s put more pressure on the public and shut down a few airports”.
For people watching FOX, the’ll never understand why all of this is happening, but I would hope (maybe falsely) that a greater majority of Americans do understand how un-American the Republican position is.
Let’s start at the top with the President who ignores and thumbs his nose at the Constitution, followed by the Justice Department, the Department of Defense (or whatever Pistol Pete wants to call it today), the FBI and DHS. All thumb their noses at the judiciary and the law. All think they are “special” and are exempt as they are doing the “government’s” business. The Republican party is the “party of law and order” only when it does not inconvenience them.
As for ICE in the airports, why is the DHS sending armed personnel to perform “customer service”, which is an area where they lack training and experience. I feel for the ICE officers as they are not trained and have no idea what their role is other than to stand around and scare airline passengers stuck in congressionally created lines.
Which political party controls both the White House as well as the House of Representatives and the Senate? The minority party (Democrats) have offered a compromise solution to the majority part (Republicans) ten times. Each time the Republican president (Donald Trump) responded “no deal.”
Democrats and Republicans know exactly what they are doing. Playing with our tax money, dividing and bickering over power and control with special agendas, etc. They are one and the same. For anyone who believes our government isn’t a complete boondoggle the last 30 years, maybe do some research. These distractions and events are a complete farce. Remember how TSA was just to be temporary after 9/11? Now taxpayers can’t travel without this government control. Guess who doesn’t get affected by travel woes, or healthcare mandates, or inflation issues, etc.??
All these politicians around the USA and in DC. Clinton is Trump, Biden is Obama, Finkle is Einhorn.

If you’re against an unchecked paramilitary police force, you can just say that and make sure none of the DHS agencies are doing that. It’s very telling that it hasn’t happened yet.
On Friday Chuck Schumer is getting paid and the TSA Worker with 4 children at home isn’t. Neither is the enlisted Coast Guard serviceman nor the Secret Service employee.
Pretty sure the Republican Speaker of the House and the Republican Senate Majority Leader and the President will all get paid Friday.
Pretty sure if the three of them could get aligned, TSA would get paid too. But instead the President insists on approval of an unrelated voter registration bill before he’ll sign a bill to pay TSA.
So much winning.

Dominic, let’s not overlook the fact that el Presidente 47 killed a bipartisan deal to reopen TSA.
The real game is they will all get back pay, so just release the money so they can pay their bills.

How about this— leave the politician’s pay intact and cut off their staff. If anyone anywhere is not getting paid, politicians’ staffs are the first to be cut off.
