  1. Is management unhappy with this guy because he’s too right wing or not right wing enough?

Or maybe just that radio is dying?

I know that the main host of the classical station that I usually listen to on the car radio got replaced recently. Now there’s even more opportunity for college kids to stumble over how to pronounce a street name when giving a traffic report at WICR at least. Maybe WIBC can do a workstudy with some students from what’s not IUPUI anymore to hear kids mumble on the airwaves about whatever, and do it for college credit (ie, free).

    1. This is a hysterically unfair comment towards WICR. It’s a known student radio station, and you know EXACTLY what you’re getting with that. As acknowledged, radio is dying and you wouldn’t even have a classical station if not for the university, it’s donors, and the student labor. If it’s so awful, go pay for an alternative.

    1. Eric. Tony Katz is a hypocritical loudmouth. Constantly complains and ridicules Indianapolis, yet he does his show out of his house in Carmel.

    2. I agree totally with Clint F. I turn off WIBC at 9:06 and usually turn it back on at 11:58 once his voice is over.

    1. ….and Rob needs to run for mayor of Brownsburg, and see how it all really works!
That town has been run by ‘committee’ for way too long!

    2. He has been “negotiating” since Oct. it’s the end of Jan and he is now not even working, but still getting paid. (Wonder how that scenario would be positioned in one of his rants?)
People typically “negotiate” prior to the end of a contract. It seems clear the 2 sides are far apart. If Kendall is the desired commodity he thinks he is, show us. Land another gig other than Facebook

    1. Actually Casey and Jim have been doing a pretty good job. Not sure of listeners or ratings?

  2. i agree with the comment on WICR, it is like listening to Ryan Hall Y’All trying to pronounce “Lafayette” and “kosciusko county”. total butchering. Probably changed to students because they are a lot cheaper.

  3. This comment thread reinforced my experience with the average WIBC crowd that have a presence on Twitter. Rude, aggressive, any opinion not given verbatim from the Trump Talking Points du Jour immediately ridiculed for being woke or whatever their new word for “reality” is these days

    1. Joe— “conservative radio” LOL. And CNN and MSNBC, and The View, and Kimmel.

80% of “journalism” is just infotainment for people seeking out partisan content that reinforces their already set opinion. Acting like it is a right wing phenomenon sounds ridiculous

    2. No more ridiculous than realizing the entire MAGA movement is a Russian psychological operation designed to destroy America and have the country vacate it’s place as the leader of the free world, and historians will be amazed at how successful that operation was and why more people didn’t see what was plainly obvious.

  4. I like the show. I think Rob is entitled to his opinions, what I don’t like is being criticized if my option differs. I was Q95 for 30 years but it became more of the “Tonight Show” which is entertaining and I know and like most of the staff. However with limited time to listen (Car only) I get more News in a matter of 10-20 minutes on WIBC as compared to B & T Show. Kristi…….don’t worry I love you forever

  5. Before they do anything, WIBC needs to get its AI/computer/timing in sync. Half the time hourly Fox News is chopped off at the beginning or end. Or they go off the air periodically. This all was the case long before they moved to their new studios. It is embarrassing for WIBC and for Indianapolis.

  6. Rob can touch some nerves … but if you are honest with yourself, he’s spot on.
Hope WIBC management gets their act together, ran off mock & daisy too.

  7. He is constantly stating his opinions as though they are fact and says insulting and nasty things while he is doing it. Then his listeners think he is actually telling things how they are. He adds nothing constructive to access to information or public discourse.

  8. Had to laugh at the comical Joe B! Surely, he’s not angry ….fed the lies of the media left!! I’m sure he still believes Hunter’s laptop was “Russian Disinformation” or that 6′ away is “science”! You’re a buffoon!

    1. Imagine being so stuck in an echo chamber that “hunter’s laptop” still takes bandwidth in your brain. I hope you seek the help you need for your TDS. Praying for you

    2. I grew up on Rush Limbaugh. I recall how unfit for the Presidency that Bill Clinton was … and how 99% of those same people turned around and excused or celebrated “their guy” for doing things far worse than Clinton dreamed of.

But I’ll keep hoping you snap out of it John.

  9. Get Rob Kendall back on the air. The ratings are high partially because of him. He doesn’t beat around the bush and holds politicians accountable. He is the voice so many of us don’t have with our elected leaders. While I don’t agree with every point of view that Rob has, he is a valuable member of our local talk radio community and I respect him greatly. He is a huge reason of why I tune in to WIBC everyday!

  10. what, they still have talk radio? Don’t the audience members have better things to do or listen to? Try Sirius and the Beatles or 60’s or 70’s rock stations…might help your disposition and blood pressure.

  11. Now that I know Rob isn’t coming back, I just subscribed to Sirius to listen to Howard Stern on channel 100. WIBC is slowly going away. Listeners are going to flee.
