You-review-it Monday: 'Les Miserables,' Sutton Foster, ISO and even more

October 6, 2013

For me, an outstanding A&E weekend started with a matinee Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra concert on Friday celebrating the music of Kander and Ebb (And, surprise, the highlight wasn't a song from "Chicago" or "Cabaret" but a tune from the lesser-known musical "The Scottsboro Boys").

But the ISO concert was just the beginning. Saturday offered a chance to host a live interview with Tony-winner Sutton Foster for a very enthusiastic group of high school students. Afterwards came a beautifully sung concert by Foster at the Palladium.

The music continued on Sunday with a terrific "Les Miserables" at Beef & Boards. Look for reviews of some of these in upcoming blog posts and/or in my IBJ column.

In the meantime, tell me what you saw over the weekend. Did you get to any of the above? Catch "Gravity" at a theater near you? Gallery hop for First Friday? Or something else?
