One of the funniest comics working today, the Comedy Central mainstay and star—as the character George St. Geegland—of the stage show “Oh, Hello” on Broadway makes the rounds again on the stand-up stage. Fans will probably have a tuna sandwich before the show. Jan. 14 Murat Theatre Details

Herron Gallery openings

Lori Waxman, a contemporary art writer for the Chicago Tribune and author of “Girls! Girls! Girls! In Contemporary Art,” kicks off an evening of gallery openings at IUPUI. Michael Zansky’s “Deep in The Shallows” pairs epic carved plywood paintings with burnt drawings on paper while Joell Baxter’s site-responsive “Floating Points” features suspended screen print panels.
