Paul Skjodt, owner of the now-dormant Indiana Ice hockey team, has secured an option on 92 acres in a busy northwest-side corridor for a $25 million multi-use sports complex.
The Indiana State Fair Commission announced Monday that it signed a deal with Indiana Hockey Club LLC, an ECHL expansion franchise that will become an anchor tenant for the fairgrounds’ newly renovated coliseum.
The Indiana Ice have come to an agreement with owner Kite Realty Group to use the Pan Am Plaza skating facility as a training center and venue for games after renovations this summer. It also will be open to the public for other ice-related activities.
