STATE OF INDIANA (2019-present)
Chief Information Officer, Department of Child Services (DCS) (July 2022-Present)
Anushree is responsible for the technology operations and innovation for the largest agency at the State of Indiana. She manages a budget of 500+million USD and oversees >600 personnel. Anushree works with large national consulting partners, elected officials, county leaders, federal regulators, and political lobbyists, to reimagine and implement the future of DCS leveraging technology and new ways of working. Under her leadership, two large scale technology transformation programs are being implemented. These first of a kind, platform-based solutions will replace existing legacy mainframe-based Child Support and Child Welfare systems. The modern systems will be be deployed on gov cloud and will integrate with leading SAAS solutions. To continue advancing the mission of digital transformation, Anushree plans to establish an innovation hub to explore utilization of emergent technologies, such as AI, ML, and Virtual RealityExecutive Director, Enterprise Risk and Resiliency Services (Nov 2019-July 2022)In this role Anushree was responsible for administering the risk and resiliency programs encompassing the complete IT infrastructure of the State of Indiana, used by 36,000 employees, and supporting all executive branch agencies reporting to the governor’s cabinet. Her team was responsible for the State’s overarching Governance, Risk and Compliance programs, and conducted the state’s first comprehensive cybersecurity maturity assessment of state-wide Local Health Departments, and initiated remediation based on the findings
NEXTGN (2013-2019)
In this role Anushree provided a variety of professional services at multiple organizations. She led a team of IT strategists to define and execute across the people, process and technology continuum, to provide cyber-resiliency, business continuity, and disaster recovery services.She helped numerous clients optimize spend, improve performance metrics, secure higher quality bonus payments, establish ERM programs, acquire quality accreditations, and achieve successful federal regulatory audit outcomes.
MIDWEST ISO (2005-2013)
Anushree held multiple roles, including Head of Enterprise Risk Management, Head of Continuous Improvements, and Head of IT Vendor Management. She also led a 35 M USD project on Synchrophasers with 50% funding by federal grants from the US Dept. of Energy.
NIC (1998-2005)
In progressive roles of Program Manager, Program Director, and Director of Operations, Anushree supported 17 NIC State offices for their project management needs associated with their custom eGovernment solutions. She stood up and managed a Center of Excellence for NIC’s project and process management and managed >100 on and off-shore resources.
