Nov. 26-Dec. 26
Indiana Repertory Theatre
In with the new: After 12 years of directing “A Christmas Carol” at the IRT, Priscilla Lindsay has moved on to academia, leaving the holiday standby in the hands of Richard J. Roberts. At the same time, long-standing Scrooge Chuck Goad has turned over his role to actor Ryan Artzberger (recently seen at the Phoenix Theatre in “Reasons to be Pretty”—now that’s range.)
That’s not all that will be different this season. Early-birders attending in November can take advantage of the IRT’s new $25 deal. Also added this year: a series of “Oh What Fun” events tied to each performance, such as a pre-show concert by the Indianapolis Symphonic Band on Nov. 28 and Dec. 18; live reindeer on Dec. 4, 11, 18 and 26; ComedySportz doing holiday improv on Dec. 22; and the Indianapolis Children’s Choir performing Dec. 23.
