The Aloft hosts 20s photo shoot
The Aloft Indianapolis hosted IBJ’s photo shoot for this year’s 20 in their Twenties publication.
The hotel, which opened in February, is part of Marriott’s lifestyle brand, which is focused on the “next generation” of travelers. It’s at 136 E. Market St., which was formerly home to Stockyards Bank & Trust. The historic building was constructed in 1892.
Aloft has 128 guest rooms, meeting space and a music-inspired cocktail-focused bar, WXYZ. The bar and sleek lounge host weekly live music by show-casing local artists.
The IBJ team loved the hotel’s vibrant colors and unique and modern style.
IBJ photographer Chad Williams, designer Sarah Ellis and Managing Editor Samm Quinn used the hotel’s common areas as backdrops for our photos. Those included the lounge-inspired lobby, the bar, a small coworking space and the former bank vault, which has been converted into another lounge space.
