An upstart audio products company with offices at Purdue Research Park at AmeriPlex has brought in big guns to launch sales.

Indy Audio Labs LLC, which bought from Indianapolis-based Klipsch Group the Aragon and Acurus audio-product brand names, hired a board member of the Consumer Electronics Association, Bruce Borenstein, as vice president of North American sales.

Borenstein has 30 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry, including a role as president of Paston-Hunter Co., a manufacturer’s representative for top audio brands.

“I’m confident that Bruce will help us find the right channel partners to successfully relaunch Aragon and Acurus in the upcoming year,” said Rick Santiago, who co-founded Indy Audio Labs with Ted Moore. The two former Klipsch engineers bought the amplifier, preamps and sound processors brands from the speaker company last April, for an undisclosed price.

Indy Audio also has hired Indianapolis-based American Tradco to help represent it in international markets. Indy Audio recently unveiled new products at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
