Fundraising Results
Mike’s Carwash raised $92,300 for Big Brothers and Big Sisters during a Mike’s Mentors Kids fundraiser at its Indiana and Ohio locations.

Indiana Members Credit Union raised $28,200 for the Indiana Members Foundation at its annual golf open and garage sale. IMCU raised $525 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

The Indianapolis Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center has raised $11,431 for the Dollars for Dempsey burn fund.

Signarama teamed up with the Special Olympics of Indiana for the FedEx Pull Challenge, which raised more than $131,000.

Hunt Construction Group’s charity golf outing and breakfast raised $20,000 to help support Assistant League of Indianapolis programs.

Financial Center’s annual charity golf outing raised $10,231 for the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry.

The Alzheimer’s Association’s Indianapolis Walk to End Alzheimer’s raised more than $610,000.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure received $525 as the result of a fundraising effort by employees at Indiana Members Credit Union.

Grants
The Salvation Army was given $100,000 by the Walmart Foundation to help fight hunger in central Indiana.

Butler University was awarded a $30,000 grant from the Jerry L. and Barbara J. Burris Foundation to support its partnership with Indianapolis Public Schools. The Butler Lab School also received $15,000 from the Burris Foundation.

Conexus Indiana received the second $25,000 installment of a $50,000 contribution from the UPS Foundation for its Hire Technology curriculum for Indiana high schools.

The city of Indianapolis received $25,000 from the Cities of Service Impact Volunteering Fund for its healthy food initiative.

B&O Trail Association Inc., Camptown Inc. and The Indiana Historical Society received $10,000 as recipients of 2012 IPL Golden Eagle Environmental grants. Five runners-up organizations received grants of $1,000 each.

MICCS Foundation was given $50,000 by Wilhelm Construction.

The Local Initiatives Support Corp. received $25,000 from First Financial Bank for its Centers for Working Families program.

James F. Malec, Indiana University School of Medicine, received the Brain Injury Association of America’s 2012 Sheldon Berrol, M.D., Clinical Service Award.

Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP’s Indianapolis office had 32 attorneys listed in the 2013 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.
