Pence will join Lt. Gov. Sue Ellspermann and State Agriculture Department Director Gina Sheets, first visiting Miller Veneers in Indianapolis to discuss opportunities for growth in Indiana's secondary agriculture markets.
They'll then head to Westfield to visit Heartland Growers and learn about technological developments that can help small farms.
Next they'll visit Beck's Hybrids, the nation's largest independent family-owned retail seed company, in the Hamilton County town of Atlanta.
They'll finish their day at Grandpa Jay's Pork in the Clinton County town of Kirklin to discuss the impact of rules and regulations on farmers taking their products to market.
