A federal judge Monday dismissed the case against one defendant named in a lawsuit filed by the parents of missing Indiana University student Lauren Spierer. Her parents filed the suit against Michael Beth, Jason Rosenbaum and Corey Rossman. The case against Beth was been dismissed, while Judge Tonya Walton Pratt will consider dismissal motions for Rosenbaum and Rossman by the end of the year. Spierer’s parents claim the men didn’t do enough to make sure their daughter got home safely after a night of drinking in June 2011, after which she disappeared.
