Pat Davis was reunited with the Purple Heart awarded to her father, Jackie Nesbit, who perished in Operation Varsity during World War II. Davis was just 2 months old at the time. The medal was misplaced during a family move soon after Nesbit’s death. Davis’s son-in-law recently tracked down the medal and raised $1,200 to buy it from a collector.
