Two Indianapolis accounting firms among best-managed

Indianapolis-based BGBC Partners LLP and Katz Sapper & Miller LLP are among the 25 best-managed accounting firms in the country, according to the latest annual ranking compiled by Inside Public Accounting.

BGBC and Katz Sapper are the only two locally based firms to make the list.

Firms are judged on management and operational performance, which is based on more than 50 criteria.

Specifically, the publication said that, despite the economy, the 25 firms turned in solid results—revenue grew a collective 3.9 percent and profit 10.4 percent while their peers struggled to stay flat.

BGBC, which has $8.4 million in annual revenue, is led by Steve Eichenberger. The larger Katz Sapper, with $46.7 million in annual revenue, is led by David Resnick.
