Corporate Philanthropy
The Indianapolis Veterinary Emergency Center collected dozens of pet supplies, toys and treats to be donated to Indianapolis Animal Care & Control and Cat’s Haven.

Scecina Memorial High School students collected nearly 2,300 pairs of pants to be given to homeless men served by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Beggars for the Poor program.

Indiana Members Credit Union hosted a holiday celebration at IPS School 44 at which they distributed handmade winter scarves and toys to students and turkey dinners to the faculty and staff.

Central Indiana Community Fund is accepting gifts of grain from Hoosier farmers. Farmers receive a tax break on their donation and can designate which charitable fund gets their gift.

The National Football League donated more than 40,000 pounds of food rescued from Super Bowl events throughout the city to Second Helpings, the official NFL Food Rescue Partner for Super Bowl XLVI.

Grants
CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions received a grant of $10,000 from The Legacy Fund.

Little Red Door Cancer Agency was given $396,389 by the Central Indiana Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, to be used for its mammography assistance program.

K-12 education programs received $1,250,500 in grants and commitments from the Kroger Co.’s Central Division.

Lilly Endowment has selected 120 Indiana educators, including 50 from the Indianapolis area, to receive an $8,000 Teacher Creativity Fellowship.

In Recognition
Stephen J. Peters was selected as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.

Bose McKinney & Evans LLP announced that 32 of its attorneys were selected as Indiana Super Lawyers and 12 were recognized as Indiana Rising Stars by Law and Politics.

Twenty-three Frost Brown Todd attorneys were selected as 2012 Indiana Super Lawyers and 12 attorneys were named Indiana Rising Stars.

Ten Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP attorneys were selected for inclusion in Indiana Super Lawyers – Rising Stars Edition 2012.
