Franklin College invites applications for a one year position at the assistant professor or instructor level in Accounting, to begin in August 2013. Applicants filling an adjunct or the one year position are invited to apply for a tenure track position beginning in August, 2014. Franklin College is a private, four-year, liberal arts institution. The Indiana Historical Society is seeking nominations for seven annual awards given out at the Founders Day Dinner at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center on Dec. 2. With these awards, the IHS recognizes outstanding individuals whose efforts have enriched the lives of others by conveying awareness and appreciation of Indiana’s history on local, regional and statewide levels. Grants
Fourteen Indiana not-for-profit organizations received a total of $1,167,500 in grants from the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust.

Friends of Cold Spring School Inc., Friends of Bethel Community Development Corp., Friends of the Archives, Indy East Development Corp. and Noblesville Preservation Alliance were among thirteen Indiana organizations that received a total of $25,000 in grants from Indiana Humanities and Indiana Landmarks for historic preservation education projects.

Twenty-three Indiana not-for-profit organizations received a total of $75,000 in grants from the IPL Power Grants Program.

Marian University’s Institute for Green and Sustainable Science received a $216,000 environmental education grant from the Environmental Protection Agency to fund its summer program.

Fundraising
Indy Jazz Fest to benefit from Celebrating Jazz & Fine Art from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. July 21 at Long-Sharp Gallery and Conrad Indianapolis. Contributions beginning at $250 are suggested and a portion of the art sold will be donated. Contact Lin Frauenhoff at lin@indyjazzfest.net.
