Engineering majors Roy Sun and Sujay Sharma pleaded guilty in Tippecanoe County court Monday to felony computer tampering charges. The Journal & Courier reports they are scheduled to be sentenced in February.
Prosecutors charged them with working with fellow student Mitsutoshi Shirasaki to steal computer keyboards from professors' offices and install key logging devices to learn account passwords.
Shirasaki faces similar charges but authorities believe he fled to Japan.
Authorities charged Sun with changing nine F's and one incomplete to straight A's. Sharma changed one grade from a D to an A. Shirasaki is suspected of changing 24 grades.
