The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra is usually one of the first of the season-based arts groups in Indy to announce its next season. And this year's no different.

Here's some of what's in store for 2014/15:

—Music Director Krzysztof Urbanski leading things off with a Sept. 14 opening gala.

—First time ISO visits from pianists Alice Sara Ott and Vadym Kholodenko and violinist Arabella Steinbacher.

—The ISO premiere of Stravinksy's "The Soldier's Tale" with libretto by Kurt Vonnegut.

—A quartet of first-time guest conductors, Matthew Halls, Christopher Altstaedt, Cristian Macelaru and Han-Na Chang.

—The film "Casablanca" screened with with full musical score.

—A weekend of the music of Simon & Garfunkle.

—Actress Megan Hilty, who recently appeared at the Cabaret at the Columbia Club, headlining a pops program.

The Symphony on the Prairie season will be announced shortly. In the meantime, visit  www.indianapolissymphony.org for a full schedule.

And don't forget, there's still plenty left in this season, including "The Firebird," "Anything Goes" in concert, and "Daphnis et Chloe."
