Learn More Indiana selected one participant at the June 21 PBS Kids in the Park event to receive $529 to open a College Choice 529 Savings Plan.

Eagle Creek Park Foundation to benefit from the Iron Eagle Paddle & Run July 26 at 8 a.m. at Eagle Creek Beach. Cost: $60-$70, plus boat rental. Contact Sam Chambers at 327-7116 or ecpf@comcast.net.

Grants
Eleven organizations serving women and girls received a total of $110,000 in grants from the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana.

JCC of Indianapolis received a grant of $20,000 from Champions for Healthy Kids for its R.E.C.E.S.S. (Recreation Education Culture Exercise Skills Success) program.

Eighteen Indiana not-for-profit organizations received more than $1.4 million in grants from the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust, the majority of which went to organizations helping people in need.

Arts for Learning received grants of $50,000 from the Allen Whitehill Clowes Charitable Foundation, $4,000 from the Arthur Jordan Foundation and $1,000 from the Indiana First Lady’s Charitable Foundation, $200,000 from Lilly Endowment Inc., $25,000 from the Christel DeHaan Family Foundation, $23,000 from the PNC Foundation and $1,000 from the Penrod Society.

Stand for Children Leadership Center received a $75,000 grant from the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust for its family engagement program.

Janus Developmental Services was awarded $14,136.26 in tax credits by the Neighborhood Assistance Program for distribution to its donors.

Girls Inc. received a $75,000 matching grant from The Glick Fund to support its programs.

In Recognition
Adam Frank received a 2014 Public Art Network Year in Review award for Arbor, an art installation he created for Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital.

Eskenazi Hospital received a 2014 Gage Award from America’s Essential Hospitals for its work with dementia.

Carol Lee Cherry, Chamberlain College of Nursing, was awarded a DAISY Faculty Award by the DAISY Foundation.

The Indy Home Pros Team of RE/MAX Advanced Realty and RE/MAX Ability Plus were recognized in a national list of the country’s top real estate teams and offices compiled by Real Trends Inc. and The Wall Street Journal.

Art Haase, Vincennes University, received the 2014 Meredith Thompson Statewide Service to Career and Technical Education Award from the Indiana Association for Career and Technical Education Districts.

Rahil Thanawala, Larissa McFarland, Michael James Jr., Rhonda Nichols, Hope Tribble, Julia Lawrence, Youyan Zhang, Sue Tempero, Curtis McManus, Rafael Sanchez and Faye McDaniel were honored by United Way of Central Indiana at the Indiana Black Expo Diversity Volunteer Awards.

P.E. MacAllister was named recipient of the 2014 Sachem Award by Gov. Mike Pence.

Matrix Integration LLC was named by CRN to the Solution Provider 500 list, the Women of the Channel list, the Power 50 list and the Tech Elite 250. The company was also chosen by Diversity Business.com as a Top Business for 2014.•
