One of the benefits of hosting an American Theatre Critics Association conference in our town—as IBJ did March 21-24—is that we get a rare chance to read outsiders' perspectives on the work being done in and around Indy.
Here's the first batch of stories posted about their experiences. I'll continue posting them here as they appear.
From the Columbus Dispatch: "The Indiana Repertory Theatre production of a newer play is outstanding. Beef and Board[s] Dinner Theatre’s peppy Indianapolis production of a recent Broadway musical is fun. Yet, hands down (or rather hands applauding so hard it hurt), the highlight ... in Indianapolis was a rare joint concert by Columbus native Michael Feinstein and a Broadway legend: Barbara Cook." From Chicago Stage Standard : "... a whirlwind showcase of fine fare from the nation’s 12th largest city." Full story here.
